Report of Begoña Vitoriano (April 2012)

    I inform of the
- Master on Statistics in El Salvador: master in 2 courses, official master of Universidad de El Salvador with some lecturers from Spain:
        o - 2008-2009: most of them Spanish Teachers
        o - 2010-2011: most of them Spanish teachers assisted by teachers of El Salvador.
        o - Next times it will be with local teachers with some Spanish one
        o - Two grants in 2010 for master students in Madrid (supported by the project). One of them now is studying his PhD. with a grant of Spanish Cooperation.
        o - Library (new books).
        o - The master programme has been supported by projects of the Spanish Cooperation and Complutense University. August 2012 is finishing the cooperation Project (now we are involved in master thesis).

- Master on Statistics in Mozambique: master in 2 courses, official master of Universidade Pedagogica de Mozambique:
        o - 2012-2013: all teachers are Spanish
        o - 2014-2015: all teachers Spanish assisted by teachers of Mozambique
        o - Next times it will be with local teachers with some Spanish one
        o - 2 grants for master studies in Madrid (2012-2013), 2 grants for PhD in sandwich format (2013-2015), 2 grants for master studied in Madrid (2014-2015).
        o - Library and computers support
        o - 2012 supported by Complutense University and Spanish Cooperation
        o - It is supposed that Spanish cooperation project is for 4 years with yearly renewal…
        o - Before the master, there were two postgraduate courses in order to ensure the viability.

- Indo-European Study Group in Baroda (India): May 2011. Organised by Matti Helio (Laaperanta University).
- Master programmes in Paraguay: CE-MAT has supported by a Spanish cooperation project a master programmes in Paraguay in Mathematics and Statistics. That one in Statistics is finished and it looks that it is not to be continued. That one in Mathematics are trying to be continued by a master programme in Applied Mathematics. Responsible person: Marisa Fernández (Pais Vaco University) and Jose Arrieta (Complutense University)
- Master programme in Senegal: with CIMPA and Spanish Cooperation support. Responsible person: Mercedes Siles (Malaga University)
- Courses for secondary teachers of remote areas in Nicaragua (Complutense and Universidad de León, and GIRA network): courses to prepare teachers of secondary schools of remote areas in order to prepare their students for university access. Supported by Complutense University. Responsible person: Juan Tejada (Complutense). 2010-2012
- Courses for secondary teachers of vulnerable areas of Caracas (Complutense and Universidad de Venezuela): courses to prepare teachers of secondary schools of vulnerable areas of Caracas (“ranchitos”) in order to prepare their students for university access. Supported by Complutense University. Responsible person: Inés Gómez (Complutense).
